$ASTEROID is the first meme token on Robinhood Chain that rewards holders with passive $SPCX simply by holding. Inspired by the official SpaceX mascot created by a remarkable 15-year-old.
A dream designed on Earth. A Shiba carried into orbit.
The true history that inspired this Robinhood Chain token.
THE STORY BEHIND ASTEROID
A dream designed on Earth. A Shiba carried into orbit.
Asteroid began as the creation of Olivia "Liv" Perrotto, a young space enthusiast whose imagination reached far beyond Earth.
While facing a long battle with cancer, Liv remained fascinated by rockets, technology, anime, and the possibility of humanity travelling deeper into space. From that fascination came Asteroid: a Shiba Inu astronaut created to represent curiosity, courage, and the belief that space should inspire everyone.
This community project does not own Liv's story. We share it with respect because it is the real-world inspiration behind the Asteroid name.
FROM A SKETCH TO SPACE
Asteroid was never meant to stay on the page.
According to public accounts shared by Liv's family and the Asteroid community, Liv was invited to design a zero-gravity indicator for the Polaris Dawn mission.
Her answer was a Shiba Inu dressed for space.
The character became a plush zero-gravity indicator—a small object placed inside a spacecraft that begins floating when the crew reaches microgravity. What started as a young artist's idea was carried beyond Earth aboard a historic commercial spaceflight.
POLARIS DAWN · SEPTEMBER 10, 2024
From Earth to orbit.
Polaris Dawn launched from Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 and Dragon spacecraft.
The crew—Jared Isaacman, Scott Poteet, Sarah Gillis, and Anna Menon—spent nearly five days in orbit. During the mission, they completed the first commercial astronaut spacewalk, reached a historic Earth orbit, conducted scientific research, and supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Asteroid's journey became connected with something larger than a mascot: a mission centred on exploration, resilience, and helping children on Earth.
LIV'S LEGACY
Some dreams continue travelling after we are gone.
Liv passed away in January 2026 after years of fighting pediatric cancer.
Public posts later shared the story of questions she had wanted to ask Elon Musk. One asked whether Asteroid could become a SpaceX mascot. Posts from Liv's family say Musk agreed, giving the character a lasting place within the story of spaceflight.
Asteroid represents more than a dog in a spacesuit.
It represents imagination during hardship.
It represents a child looking upward instead of giving up.
It represents the belief that something created in a bedroom, notebook, or hospital room can travel farther than anyone expected.
WHY WE CHOSE ASTEROID
A story from space, rebuilt for a new chain.
Asteroid Shiba is an independent community token launching on Robinhood Chain.
Our project combines the Asteroid space narrative with a new token mechanic:
BUY $ASTEROID. EARN $SPCX.
Hold eligible $ASTEROID tokens and receive tokenized $SPCX reflections according to the project's smart-contract mechanics.
The reward model belongs to this Robinhood Chain project. The original story behind the Asteroid character is shared as cultural and historical context—not as a claim of ownership, endorsement, partnership, or official status.
One small Shiba. One enormous sky.
